Changed by Grace

Believing who God says I am, is the only thing for me to believe.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Your spirit, soul and body are all sanctified. I can't be complete and in process at the same time. There is no battle of sin and love, or evil and good, between these three parts. You are wholly sanctified. You are not in the process of sanctification.

1st Corinthians 6:11 says, I am washed; I am sanctified; I am justified, not by what I do, but by what Jesus did for me. I am made new, Christ in me, the Hope of glory (Colossians 1:26-28). 1 Corinthians 6:19 says, “What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1st John 4: 16 says, “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:" Colossians 1:13

"In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:" Colossians 1:22

"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:" Colossians 1:26-28

Romans 6:1-14

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Many read Romans 7 as present tense. Yet, if you read carefully and in context with Romans 6 and 8, you’ll see it’s a flash back in time when Paul was under the law, yearning to be rescued. In Verses 7-13 Paul is saying “I was” (past tense). Then in verses 14 -24 he switches to a present tense internal dialogue of “I do” and “I am”, which is describing how he couldn’t live up to the law when he was under the law. It’s not describing a dialogue he has with himself under his current identity in Christ, for he is transformed and sanctified. Therefore, you can stop falsely identifying with Paul’s struggle of sin when he was under the law.

You are Changed by Grace. Saved = Changed : wholly sanctified, holy, blameless, in his kingdom, perfect, transformed, complete, born of God, free from sin, alive in Christ, alive in Love.

Don’t buy the lie that you ‘re still a sinner. God’s love (grace) has changed you. It’s not what you do, it’s what He did for you and in you. Now you can put your new nature into practice and stop believing you’re a selfish sinner, or that you lack. You lack nothing and our Father provides all your needs. You are free, to love.

Romans 8:1-4

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Instead, we need to believe the truth of who God says we are and His provision. This is why, God sanctified and made perfect who we are, so that we would not lack or buy the lie of not enough. We are made perfect, not by what we do, but by what God did in and through Christ (God’s amazing grace!). Jesus came to make me new. He came to change my believing and put God’s love in me. Believing who God says I am, is the only thing for me to believe.

If I don’t Believe He changed me, then I deny Christ’s death and resurrection, and God sending His Holy Spirit for me to receive when I believed. We’re not sanctified positionally as well as progressively, as some would believe or teach others to believe.

We can’t be made new and in the process of being made new at the same time. That would be like saying I am an honest liar. When I Believed … I was completely washed, justified, and sanctified (perfect) (1 Corinthians 6:11). “In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:” (Colossians 1:22). Holiness is Love in Action.

After I read the book of John for 3 hours on September 17, 2008, and was flooded with peace and floating in golden light for two days (filled with God's love and His holy Spirit), I was mislead by wrong teaching and believing for the next 13 years. I went from being a new creature in Christ, to believing I was in process or progressive sanctification. Thus, causing me to focus too much on myself. My woe-is-me pity parties trapped me in bondage and believing that I wasn’t enough. Like Eve in the garden, buying the lie of lack from the devil. He lies and casts doubt and lack so we have a motive and actions of getting (self-first, sin). Believing I'm not enough.

Don't buy the lie of lack!

Over many generations he has lied to distort God’s truth, especially when it comes to our identity in Christ and the identity of Christ’s divinity. This is where satan can have massive impact on the body of Christ. Believing his lies as to our identity affects our ability to love others. He can’t change God’s love for us, nor take away our salvation, but he can lead us to believe that our salvation doesn’t include transformation. He can lead us to believe that God’s grace is primarily for our “ticket to heaven” (a.k.a. salvation), but not our transformation or sanctification. He wants us to keep Believing that we lack when it comes to our transformation or sanctification, so we focus on self-first and struggle to love one another.

When I know I am born of God and that I am love, then that is what I do. Who I am is what I do. Who I am is based on Whose I am. His grace (love) has made me perfect, holy, and sanctified … forever! This isn’t boastful, for its Christ who did it in me.

Don’t go back to lack. Don’t finish by “works”. Remember we are changed by grace. God has transformed us (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you believe you can, or believe you can’t, you are right in either case. God has given us His Spirit and sealed us with power, love, and a sound mind (Eph 1:13 and 2nd Timothy 1:7).

Your spirit, soul and body are all sanctified. 1Thessalonians 5:23 says, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

You can’t love God first in your heart and put yourself first. You can’t be dead in sin and alive in Christ (dead to sin). A good tree cannot produce corrupt fruit (Matthew 12:33-35).

You can’t have a heart of giving and have a heart of getting. Either your Father is God, or your father is the devil. Jesus said to the Jews, in John 5:42, “But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.”

Remember, He chose you because He loves you and made you His (when you believed and received His loving grace). He has made you His; in, through, and by Jesus Christ. You are born of God, who lives in you. You are his son or daughter … 100% complete, perfect, holy, and sanctified, for life everlasting. You are free to give love freely, needing nothing in return, because you have everything you need in Christ Jesus forever.

It's not about Do Do Do to Be Be Be. It’s about knowing (not a feeling) who I Be Be Be so I Do Do Do. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: The truth is I am changed by grace. BELIEVE IT - LIVE IT.

Who I am determines what I do, not the other way around.  What I do does not determine my identity. What I do reveals who I am. This is a massive and fundamental priority of sequence and understanding.

Many Christians struggle to understand this, because they often think that what they do determines who they are. This perspective is a worldly view. This view is performance based and it’s incorrect. For example, if I say, I’m a sinner because I have sinned. This belief denies God’s grace in Christ and shows the power of believing the lie of lack (not enough) from the enemy. This is commonly taught incorrectly because of the differences in Bible versions to that of the King James Holy Bible (KJ).

A prime example is found in Hebrews 10:14.

“For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”  KJ

“For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” NIV

In one sentence the NIV says you are perfect and being made perfect (holy).

This sentence (Hebrews 10: 14 NIV) contradicts itself and is confusing. That’s like saying I’m incomplete and complete at the same time. As well, Hebrews 10:10 KJ is in agreement with Hebrews 10:14 KJ “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

Whereas, the NIV says in verse 10:10, “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”, which contradicts the NIV 10:14 verse which says, “being made holy”. The NIV flip flops and contradicts itself, thus confusing a Christian about their identity.

Through God’s grace (His love) in Jesus Christ, He has perfected us at the same time He sanctified us. He has perfected those who He made perfect. There is no contradiction of terms in the King James Holy Bible. If we follow a version of the Bible that tells us a contradictory and confusing statement (in one sentence), then how can we have clarity to our identity and thus our ability to give the love in a natural way.

Who I believe I am and Who I belong to, causes me to do what I do. Believing the lie I need to get closer to God and asking for God to fill me with the Holy Spirit more and more, denies what Christ did for me on the cross and through his resurrection. This incorrect belief becomes a works-based approach, and a never-ending belief that I’m not enough, which keeps me in bondage (never enough and never getting there). These legalistic works tend to keep Christians in a self-focused belief of lack which can cause a selfish motive and behaviors. This is what Paul warned the Galatians about. He said, “Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3)

He is saying, why are you trying to become who you already are? The truth is, God has already filled me with His holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 4:6-7, 2 Timothy 1:7). I am sealed. I am new. I am sanctified. I am holy. I am perfect. Christ in me is alive. I am dead to sin and alive in love. (Romans 6:1-11, Romans 8:1, Galatians 4:6-7, Hebrews 10:10, 1 Corinthians 6: 11, 19, Colossians 1:22, 1 John 4:17).

Saved = Sanctified. Sanctified = Perfect. Perfect = Holy. The confusion many believers have about their sanctification brings uncertainty to their identity in Christ and thus their ability to be free to love and have life abundantly. To show how other versions of the Bible cause confusion we can look to 1st Corinthians 1:18. “For preaching the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” (KJ). However, the NIV and other versions state being saved. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (NIV).

The difference between “are saved” and “being saved” is huge. Believing or knowing that we are saved and sanctified, or being saved and being sanctified, causes us to buy the lie of lack. The belief of lack (not enough) causes us to believe we are in process and not free from being in a performance works mind-set (not complete until Jesus comes back). Thus, being more focused on self and not on loving God and loving others.

Romans 12:2 Believe who God says you are. BELIEVE.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Who you are is what you will Do. Who God is, is what God does. He is love, He does love.

Christ in you, the hope of glory. Remember, "I am Whose I am. Who I am is what I do.

Its Be to Do, not do to be.

You are born of God (born again, born of the Spirit, Christ in you).

You are NEW, so you can DO.

DO LOVE.

Jesus came to change my HEART from Getter to Giver. Love Gives.
